It really is, check out this bad boy from some crazy Hungarians going by the name of M55. It's a hybrid electric bike with some serious components and proposed speeds of 77mph (123ish kmh). Crazy!

Have been reading a cycling book of late and it mentions the holy grail of bicycles, a personalised custom steel frame handmade.
